I've been lucky enough to photograph loads of weddings at Forbes of Kingennie over the years but this one was different! It was just the bride and groom with no guests at all....
A tiny wedding with just them, me, the Registrar and two Forbes of Kingennie staff were their witnesses on a Wednesday afternoon.
The ceremony was at the Leannan Boathouse, a remote little cottage at the side of a fishing loch on the grounds of Forbes of Kingennie.
It is the perfect spot for a photo shoot and it was totally chilled as their were no time restrictions or guests waiting, we just had a walk and a chat and stopped at some beautiful backdrops...
The Bluebells had just appeared in time for the day. Vincent and Awa are from France so they were happy to get some Scottish scenery to show their families..
Awa was feeling the Scottish cold temperatures after an hour and she was keen to go and cosy up next to the fire in the boathouse...
I left them to their plans of a quiet night in the Boathouse with a meal ordered in... which sounded pretty perfect to be honest! I do love an elopement, it always feels like it's just about the couple, minimum fuss and maximum relaxation!
Congratulations Awa & Victor xx
